Ah, family sessions. Where parents leave convinced that all I got was a blur of tiny feet running in opposite directions, a sibling battle over who gets to sit on the bed, and at least one child testing the limits of gravity.

I see the doubt in your eyes. I hear the whispered, “There’s no way she got a single good shot.” And I get it! You’re in survival mode—dodging snack meltdowns, bribing with happy meals, and wondering why your kid suddenly forgot how to stand up straight.

But here’s the thing: while you were living the chaos, I was working my magic. Somewhere between the nose-picking and the spontaneous interpretive dance break, I captured the giggles, the cuddles, and the kind of love that makes your heart melt.

I recently did a celebration of life session for sweet Bella before she ran free over the rainbow bridge.

When I walked through the door, Bella popped up and greeted me with a happy smile and wiggly tail. My heart exploded! As I sat with her for a bit, she inched closer and closer, wanting my attention. I have no idea how I didn’t start crying from that moment. She was truly the sweetest little love bug.

Bella enjoyed being outside, so that’s exactly where we chose to work - in her element, right outside her house. She sniffed and frolicked her way around, soaking up the fresh air and loving on her mama.

We don’t deserve dogs and the unconditional love they give us from beginning to end. We don’t get enough time with them. And the only downside to having a dog, is knowing someday you will have to say goodbye.

Oh, sweet Bella. I am so glad the universe made it so our paths crossed. I will never forget your magnetic, wiggly, gentle, loving nature.
